This reminds me of nothing so much as the fake novel Kilgore Trout wrote in Breakfast of Champions, the classic and widely beloved Bruce Willis comedy, which is readily available now on many platforms and in many formats, because the movie business always operates as it should. Anyway sarcasm aside, it's written in the person of god, as a letter of apology, to the only actual thinking human on a planet of falsely humanoid robots, and it happens to be just what Bruce's character needs to hear to break his own personal psychosis at the right moment. It's all very 'baby's first 70's sci fi novel' on purpose, illustrating Kilgore's odd character, as, I suppose this does yours. I am not sure if I even mean this as a compliment or not, it's just an observation, my strongest one, but hey, any comparison to Vonnegut can't be all bad. Good luck in your endeavors.

A version of this film from Morgan Freeman's character's perspective would be amazing. That's a great idea! It's always great to see Morgan Freeman in anything, but his character here plays somewhere between audience POV, "Magical Negro", and a sidekick...somehow he is none of those but also All of the Above at the same time. I finally got around to re-watching this for the podcast. Coincidentally, I recently re-watched the Errol Flynn version about a week ago; it's pretty much better in almost every way but also tells the exact same story--like this film was a remake of that one instead of just being a new telling of the classic tale. Including weird beats that are apparently "canon" now, like Robin being a Nobleman

Modern movies have no emotion, creativity, or plot. The release of most Disney movies since their live remakes has shown this pandering is leading to human extinction

Are you not going to watch the Roald Dahl short stories anthology Wes did for Netflix?

I had a quick google of the dresses from the film and I found two articles about how ugly and unspectacular the dresses are and how it's intentional. They were some interesting reads, check that out, whoever's reading this.

In spite of all else, I do like the set design on the machine itself. It's really creative.
